Vanessa Strubbe, SASD ID student, makes the Times

clear gifTue 29 July 2014 — Vanessa Strubbe, a senior Industrial Design student at SASD, is helping make a difference and the NYTimes noticed. She’s working with a team to invent new and inexpensive ways to give growing but disabled children furniture that they can use to meet their peers at eye level or to supplement weakened posture. As the children grow, the sturyd cardboard furniture can be replaced by new and larger versions and can incorporate changes and refinements.
