Lani Asuncion

Lani Asuncion is an interdisciplinary artist working in video, performance, and installation. She graduated from the University of Connecticut where she got her MFA in 2011. Her work focuses on storytelling and exploration of identity as a multi-race Asian American woman.
She has been an artist-in-residence alumna of Caldera Arts Center, I-Park, CAC Woodside, Elsewhere Living Museum, and Santa Fe Art Institute, and BigCi in New South Wales, Australia. Her work has been screened in Currents New Media Festival in Santa Fe, NM. As well as Nights of Festivals: Moving Image at Nottingham Contemporary, UK; and was included in Aspect EZ: Vol. 4, Déjà Vu a limited edition DVD printing by ASPECT: The Chronicle for New Media in Boston, MA. In 2015, her work screened in Another Athens Film Programme at SUPERMARKET Independent Art Fair in Stockholm, Sweden hosted by Interviewroom11 (Edinburgh, Scotland) & SNEHTA (Athens, Greece).
