Christian Ruggiero was born in 1976 in New York City and holds a BA in Modern Culture and Media from Brown University. Ruggiero has worked as a broadcast producer and composer since 1999. As a producer, Ruggiero has won two Telly Awards for his broadcast work for Sonymusic. He has produced television, radio, and film programs for clients such as GMC, AOL, Coke, and Polo Ralph Lauren, and for artists ranging from Paul McCartney and Roger Waters to Kanye West. Ruggiero has also composed numerous themes for television networks including MTV, Nickelodeon, and HSN, and for major brands including Diet Coke, Dewars, and McNeil Healthcare. In 2011 Ruggiero established Bridgeport’s Goldcoast Recording Studio with his long-time friend and collaborator Masashi Tsuyuki. His current composing work finds him writing incidental music for numerous cable television shows. Outside of media production, Ruggiero has spent the past 6 years developing and fabricating new audio equipment based on antique vacuum-tube technologies. Ruggiero’s research into the engineering and history of audio technology led him to establish the website Preservation Sound where he posts frequently about audio history and distributes his own hand-made amplifiers.
