Bryan DeBlois

I am an innovator. I have nurtured a life-long passion to create breakthrough new ideas and I am very committed to the importance of a designer’s way of thinking and working in creating and managing innovation. To know this, is to know me.
I am an experienced new product development and design leader with an award winning background in creating and developing breakthrough products. I have cross-trained for innovation throughout my career by taking on various roles in design, design management, innovation management, marketing, new business development and consumer research.
My new product innovations have earned over $2B+ in topline revenue for their brand owners. The products I have helped create, design and develop have earned over a dozen professional acknowledgements for breakthrough design and product innovation including several IDSA awards and the prestigious EDISON AWARD. The Snakelight Flexible Flashlight is part of the COOPER-HEWITT permanent collection. I have been named as an inventor in 38 patents filed in 80 countries worldwide. I have eight patents pending.
I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Design from the University of Bridgeport and have served in both corporate and consulting roles for 30 years. I have worked with, and consulted for, 20+ Fortune 500 companies in the front-end of innovation including: Black & Decker, Shark/Ninja, Shick /Wilkinson Sword, Warner-Lambert, S.C. Johnson, Bissell, Sunbeam, Honeywell, Targus, Wahl Clipper and Chrysler Motors among others.
I was formerly Director of Industrial Design Engineering for Shark Ninja, a consumer products manufacturer and marketer. I am presently pursuing multiple responsibilities including: innovation and design consulting, innovation licensing and design education. I have founded and manage two businesses.
I am also an audiophile, a painter and an avid saltwater fly fisher.
