MPS-DM Grad Student Soares wins Top Prize in UBusiness Plan Competition

Thu 14 Apr 2016 — Design Management graduate student, Giovana Soares, won the first prize of $500 in the UBusiness Plan Competition held on Thursday April 14th in the Schelfhaudt Gallery in the Arnold Bernhard Center (ABC), home of the Shintaro Akatsu School of Design (SASD) at UB.

In a 3 minute presentation, she explained the business plan for her app “RisenPrize”, an app that rewards users for waking up on time.

The UBusiness Plan Competition is an opportunity for young entrepreneurs to develop their business concepts with direction and guidance from University Professors and successful local entrepreneurs. The competition is open to all students of UB and is judged on the basis of feasibility and strategy of each team’s plan.
